All American Dad
69Mr.Glenn Beck
The three top Talk Radio programs on today, of course Number 1 Rush Limbaugh, 2 Sean Hannity, and number 3 Glenn Beck, this one I will write about. I first heard Glenn Beck on WFLA out of Florida, I am or was an Over the Road Truck Driver and would on occasion have to make a run to the dangling land mass at south east corner of the country.
I have been a "Talk Radio" junkie for a long time more so since 1988 Mr. Limbaugh became a Nationally syndicated Radio Host. I first became aware of Glenn Beck in Florida, scanning to radio dial I ran across his program I do not recall the subject at the time all I knew he was talking to me and made more since than even the great "Rush". I do remember he was talking about his eldest daughter how she was born with " Cerebral Palsy" when he speaks of this child the love & admiration for her is heard, yes even felt.
I did not know at the first that Mr. Beck was in alcoholic recovery, or that he was on his second marriage, that would not have mattered this facts make him all the more human. September 11,2001 brought several local radio hosts into the national spotlight. I don't recall how long after the disaster of 9/11/01perhaps no more than a week Beck was on site telling, actually painting a clear and detailed picture of what he was seeing, as well as feeling. Later he would say it was the only broadcast he had regrets doing.
Glenn Beck and his wife(Tanya) had been married 5 years and remained childless although Mr. Beck had the two girls from his first wife with whom he shares custody,he wanted more. He and Tanya traveled to Texas, adopted a baby boy, I remember being excited for them I knew then God would finally bless them with another, almost two years later Cheyenne Grace was born, I feel that he and Tanya will be bless again when the time is right. Glenn will not hold back his emotions when he speaks of his family this to me is a real man not afraid to show his emotions. Glenn has said many times how much he himself has learned how to cope from his children especially from his oldest daughter Mary. Mr. Beck was told by the doctors and others that Mary would mature beyond a certain mental age she proved all of them wrong by not only living past their predictions but enrolling in college this school year, Glenn found it hard to turn loose of his now grown (little) gift from GOD. Not much is known of his second daughter Hanna except that she a typical teenager both healthy and happy.
Recently Beck installed Web-Cams in his home so that he can have more time with his wife and children, the children can see and hear their father while he is at work and are able to interact with him at breakfast. Although he is not with them in body he always with them in image. Mary, Hanna, Raphe, and Cheyenne could not ask for a more caring Father(Daddy) then Glenn Beck. We all could learn from this man how to become a better parent.

It's a shame people have to be so jealous , picking fights b/c they disagree on a political matter. No wonder our country is in the shape it's in !
cerebral palsy is pretty difficult to live with. Congratulations on making a great hub to tell others on this dreadful disorder.
