Why let others decide
58Think for yourself
Imus was fired from his jobs for speaking freely what was on his mind. The "Rev" Al Sharpton & Jessi Jackson have in the past said and done much worse things than has Don Imus, I have heard a torrent of racial comments come spewing out of the so called "Reverend's" mouths for years, no one has held them to account.
I have been on this Earth breathing the same air as has many others for over fifty years, I was here but very young when Reverend Martin Luther King Jr gave "The I have a Dream" speech I like many other "Whites"agreed with and cheered him for it; we lost him to soon. Mr Sharpton and Jackson has taken the dream and turned it into a nightmare.
The former Vice President of the United States tells us we need to change to way we live in fact or in jest he would like for us to stop breathing, but since is a so called expert he needs to live the life of I'll guess and say 25 normal people, and buy his way out of his own responsibility.
A couple for years ago Madonna told us we were raising our children wrong by letting view and do all sorts of bad things although she is one of the the problems, and has caused a whole generation of little girl to want to emulate her in both dress and action, I say who are they to tell to or not do in our lives. Most of us were given a brain, and enough sense, not to mention a free well by God himself to make our decisions.
In my own life time I have witnessed many tragedies, and triumphs I was born after the Koren War, although I do not remember it I was here when "Under God" was added to the pledge and when Alaska, Hawaii was added to the United States Flag's 49th & 50th stars. I witnessed the building of the Berlin Wall and it's destruction, the beginning of the race to space as well as our landing on the Moon, I could go on and on but I won't. My point is this country was built with lives and fortune of many men and women wanting to be free, now not so slowly we are losing everything because we are letting others tell what and when. This is still the greatest country on the face of the Earth, but, we will not be for long if we don't stop destroying ourselves from within.
In this I must also mention that I am the a "Father" I am the father of a soon to be 21 year old son I will not give his full name here (S.D.Stone) the last time I had any physical contact with him he was 10 years old, before that he was almost 6, his mother and I married 9 and 1/2 months before he was born she already had four children by her first marriage, I loved them all. I made mistakes that cause everyone involved grief, and mental scars that will never fully heal, so I try to use what I know now to help others. I took the the love, and trust of my wife and her children and used it against them and for my own selfish gain and for that I will always be sorry, and asked forgiveness from those involved, if it given or not is not the point is that I understand I was my responsiblity and I will be held to account for it. I destroyed what could have been a wonderful lifetime.

I agree. Imus should have not been fired at all and he did not say anything horrible degrading in my opinion. Maybe he should have been careful but if you listen to some rap songs out there they seem like they degrade woman by calling them names and they are still allowed to keep working and using foul language. This does not seem fair to me at all.
